Accessibility at CH³
Effective date: August 24, 2026
Community Healing, Health & Happiness (CH³) is committed to making our website usable for as many people as possible — including kūpuna, people with disabilities, and anyone using assistive technology. Accessibility reflects our values of healing, dignity, and belonging, so we treat it as ongoing work rather than a one-time task.
What we do to support accessibility
As we build and improve this site, we work to:
- use clear, readable text with sufficient color contrast;
- support keyboard navigation with a visible focus indicator;
- provide descriptive text alternatives for meaningful images;
- use clear headings and page structure that work with screen readers;
- let the page resize and reflow for larger text and smaller screens;
- respect your device’s “reduced motion” setting; and
- avoid relying on color alone to convey information.
We use the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, Level AA as our guiding standard. We are working toward it, but we have not yet completed accessibility testing of the finished site, so some areas may not fully meet it yet.
Third-party content
Some features come from other providers — for example, an embedded Google Calendar on our Events page and our Zeffy donation page. We don’t fully control the accessibility of those third-party services, though we try to choose tools that are broadly usable.
